Biographical Info

Dan Nicholas Park is the home of the Nature Center (featuring the Cheerwine Aquarium), the Stanback Barnyard, and Wildlife Adventures.

Rowan Wild has three naturalists, a contract veterinarian, and a public outreach employee. The center maintains a collection of live North Carolina native animals including non-venomous and venomous snakes, raptors including hawks, owls, falcons, vultures and bald eagles. The mammals include groundhogs, raccoons, foxes, bobcats, black bear, deer and two red wolves.
